Great food

Went for breakfast with friends and we were not impressed. Plates were cold, which is a bad start for cooked breakfast, my poached egg was runny but totally cold so not too pleasant to eat and sausage had no taste.Improvements need to be made definitely!

Popped there today for a business lunch and meeting. Staff were excellent and very helpful, decor was lovely and the food was very fresh and tasty - id recommend the Scotch Egg

Average food, pub needs renovating. You kind of feel like your eating the same frozen food you would at home. Nothing special.

We rode up to the pub for a Sunday lunch. There was a place to park the bikes. The pub is clean and has all social distancing in place. Sunday lunch was awesome - plenty of interesting vegetables as well as lovely roasties. Definitely worth a visit now it’s been refurbished. Had a nice kids menu (small roast) and plenty of gluten free options too.

I hired out the private dining room for my birthday and couldn’t have chosen a better venue to do so. It comfortably sat 14 of us and we had our own waitress who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time; topping up our drinks, taking photos, offering us a choice of our own music. The team couldn’t have done more. The food was superb and catered for our vegetarian friends; it all arrived promptly, in sync and to an excellent standard. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this lovely refurbished pub to anyone. You must order a scotch egg and the mussels! Thank you!

Recently refurbished. Decor is modern and tasteful. Staff are pleasant, polite, attentive and good at their job. Plenty of parking. Level access. Food is excellent. Try the breakfast brunch menu. Dine monday to weds and your eat out to help out discount is automatically applied. Prices are a.little above average but the quality of the food supports this.

Sincerely want this place to work as it’s only a few hindered yards away, but they aren’t listening. Second visit and pointed out at the start that last time the so-called triple cooked chips were undercooked, only to be presented with undercooked chips again. There’s still no attempt to cater for vegetarians for starters other than a stodgy soup.So despite the best intentions of some pretty inexperienced staff, management either doesn’t care or doesn’t listen. Other food was good, just greatly let down by a few points.

Lovely pub, great friendly team behind the bar, referbed to a high standard, good selection of wines beers and spirits, varied menu, with many favourite dishes at a reasonable price, areas available for private parties.. social distancing rules in place, well worth a visit....

Great job reopening this place. Food and drink has been good all 3 times we've been since then. And it seems that the locals agree as it has been busy. So much that one time we couldn't get a booking to have a drink.

Nice pub,pleasant helpfull staff and good food.Outside would benefit from a bit of music and fans but all in all good

Recently opened again after an extensive refurb.We called and make a booking for 4 plus a baby we had plenty of room and everyone was well spaced out. Great food, great service and we will definitely return.

First time back since the refurbishment, looks really nice, relaxed, food was nice and the service was great. Well done. 👍

Visited this recently refurbished pub for Sunday lunch. Never went before to know what it was like but its been refurbished to a high standard. Very smart and modern while keeping what look like original features.As many other reviewers have said, the food here is good. The Sunday roast was hot, a good size and tasty.Some aspects of the service are still being worked out we sensed. Staff were friendly but we had issues with the right food being brought, what food was available and the bill. Nothing significant but again I think this chimes with other reviews. This should be an easy thing to address. There is a reasonable amount of car parking available and a small outdoor space.

Beautifully renovated. I used to work there many years ago so it was a treat to get back. Try it, it is a great place.
